Taleb Abdallah On June 12, senior Hezbollah field commander Abdallah was slain in an attack that Israel claimed was directed at a southern Lebanon command and control center.

He was Hezbollah's commander over the central area of the southern border strip, according to security sources in Lebanon, and he held the same rank as Nasser.

Hamas

Mohammed Dief

The Israeli military claims that on July 13, fighter jets attacked near Khan Younis in Gaza, killing Deif, based on an intelligence assessment. In Israel, the elusive Deif has eluded seven attempts on his life.

Deif is thought to have played a key role in the October 7 raid by Hamas on southern Israel, which started the Gaza War. His death has not been confirmed by Hamas.

Ismail Haniyeh

Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in the early hours of July 31 in Iran, the Palestinian resistance group said.

A missile that struck Haniyeh squarely in the state guesthouse where he was staying killed him. Israel has not assumed accountability.
